Great community and network experience – Pre AGN XIV conference forum, May 2022

The ESRs from Bid4best participated in a forum just before the commencement of the AGN XIX conference to discuss topics of interest for their careers. This forum was also open to other PhD students.

Discussions and debates ranged from the definitions and analyses of obscuration of AGNs at different wavelengths and models, differences, and similarities between the Ph.D. projects, looking for ideas for possible future collaborations, academic career’s issues, and possible industry experiences, and they found it useful to share concerns regarding delays in the arrival of data, which can have implications for the Ph.D. projects. Students who had carried out industrial secondments shared their personal experiences and how some techniques learned there could be used in scientific projects.

This event was organised by Ivan Lopez – BiD4BESt ITN Ph.D. student based at University of Bologna, Italy

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 860744
